I started blogging in April 2007. It wasn't long before a passion for improving my blog consumed me and I started learning everything I could about blog design. I was eager to share my knowledge with others, so I created a blog that is now chock full of blog tips. It didn’t take long before I started designing blogs professionally. I have now worked on over eighty different blogs.

My amazing husband and I are the proud parents of two adorable little girls, ages 2 and 4. I feel so incredibly blessed to be able to be a stay at home mom. No doubt it is the best job in the world!

Why Sneaky Momma?

sneaky (adj.): marked by quiet and caution and secrecy; taking pains to avoid being observed

I started calling our girls 'sneaky' when they were into everything as a young toddlers. When we would play peek-a-boo, I would ask where my sneaky little girls were. They loved it and would erupt in giggles every time.

A couple of years ago, I was trying to come up with a unique name for my new blog. Our oldest daughter came up to me and said, "Sneaky mommy! Are you on the 'puter?" The light bulb came on, the keys clackety-clacked, Blogger approved and Sneaky Momma was born!

Navigation Bars

A navigation bar is a row of links in between the header and the rest of your blog.

There are two options when it comes to navigation bars:

text only ($15)
cute font and/or images ($20)

A text only navigation bar uses the same font as the font in your posts.

In order to use a cute font, the tabs (words below the header) must be created as images. Even though there are no images in the navigation bar on this blog, it does contain a cute font, which makes it a $20 nav bar.

You will need to provide the links for the tabs. Most people choose to write posts and save them as drafts for me to link to when I load their new look. I can link directly to an email address from a contact tab.

Layouts

All makeover packages come with the choice of a 2 column wide or existing layout.

Existing layout: This is the layout that is currently on your blog. There is no additional charge if you wish for me to keep your current three column or photoblog layout.

2 column wide (included in all makeovers)- 1 sidebar

3 column ($10)- 2 sidebars - Two columns on same side or one on either side of post section

Photoblog ($10)- no sidebars, 3 columns below post section

Post Separator

You can add a post separator to your makeover for $5. A post separator is a line or decorative element that is built into the bottom of each post. The string of hearts below this post is a post separator.

The same image will appear in between all of your posts. I can only install one image in this area. :)

Headers

A header (sometimes called a banner) is the decorative element at the top of a blog that includes the title and tagline, if applicable. All of my makeovers include a custom header. Ala carte headers are $25 (design kit additional, if applicable).

Slideshows

Button slideshows are $12 and include the installation of up to 25 grab buttons. When a button in the slideshow is clicked on, the blog will open in a new window.

Photo slideshows are $15 and include the installation of up to 25 photos. They are sized to fit in your sidebar. Photos can be replaced in slideshows for $.50 each (with $3 minimum order total).

Grab Buttons

A button is an image that links back to your blog. It is placed in your sidebar, along with the HTML code of the button in the hopes that your readers will 'grab' it and put it on their blogs.

Buttons are $15 each, plus the cost of images (if applicable), and include the creation and installation of a grab box.

Sidebar Titles

A sidebar title are titles that go above your sidebar items. There are basically three choices when it comes to sidebar titles:

Standard titles (no charge)
Super standard titles ($5)
Custom titles w/cute font and/or images ($15 ala carte for set of 12-same style)

Standard titles are the ones that you already have on your blog. You will easily be able to make changes to standard titles once I am finished with your makeover, just as you did before.

Super standard titles are written in the same font as the post text and can be underlined, bold, or italicized. You will easily be able to change the wording in these titles after the makeover. Additional titles are as easy as adding a gadget and putting the title in the title field, just as you did before. Add an italics, underline or bold appearance to your sidebar titles to your makeover order for $5!

All custom sidebar titles will bear the same image and font to create a sense of continuity throughout your blog. Custom sidebar titles are created using a program on my computer and therefore can only be modified by me. I can make changes to and/or create additional sidebar titles for $1.50 each (with a $5 minimum order). Custom sidebar titles are included in the Sure to Surprise package. Add a set of 12 to your Simple, Sweet, or Sophisticated makeover for $15!

Custom Background

Want more than just a simple wallpaper on your blog? Perhaps you've been using a free background that has scrapbooking elements on it and you would like something similar.

You can add a custom background (multiple papers and/or elements) to your makeover order for $15. Keep in mind that the more elements you have in your background, the slower it will load. If you are concerned with how fast your blog loads, a custom background is not for you. A simple wallpaper (included in all makeovers) may be best, or even better, a solid white background.

Fonts

I mostly use scrapbooking fonts by Kevin and Amanda to decorate design elements (headers, buttons, sidebar titles, etc.). For signatures, I especially like the fonts in their Fonts for Peas line.

Have a specific font that you'd like to use for your elements that is not featured here? Email me. Chances are I have it or can get it easily. :)

At this time, I only use Century Gothic and standard Blogger fonts for post and sidebar text.

FAQ/Policy

Please read through this entire section before placing your order. By making a payment, you acknowledge that you have read and agree to comply with my terms. :)

Q: I am absolutely clueless when it comes to writing a post, adding photos or sidebar gadgets. Does my makeover include assistance in these (and other) areas?

A: Your makeover only includes the items that are listed in your quote. I have a blog tip blog that is full of free tutorials geared at helping the beginning blogger. If you require more assistance than the tutorials provide, I offer individual assistance at the rate of $15/hour (1 hour minimum). If this is something that you are interested in, just ask!

Q: When will you work on my order?

A: My working hours vary during a makeover. I used to be able to work nonstop 8-5 every day until a makeover was finished. Now, not so much! I am at stay at home mom to two precious, busy little girls (ages 3 and 4). With each passing month, staying at home all day during a makeover becomes less and less of an option.

Most makeovers are completed within 2-4 days. My goal is to have all orders finished by Wednesday. This estimate depends upon several factors, including the complexity of the design, the size of the order, my personal schedule, how often you are able to reply to my emails, and how thorough and detailed you are in your feedback.

I will ask for you opinion several times throughout the design process in order to create the look that you desire. Your honest, detailed feedback is often essential for me to be able to complete the next step of the design. Replying to my emails as soon as possible is highly recommended. If you are unable to check your email at least once every day during the makeover, we will need to reschedule your makeover for a time that you will be able to do so. Ideally, it would be great if you could check your email more often than that. :)

I do not work on weekends, so if I am working on your order and we do not finish by Friday, I will resume working on your blog the following Monday. This is seldom an issue.

Q: How do I pay for your services?

A: Once we have discussed your order, I will send you a link where you can make an online payment. I only accept payments via PayPal. If you do not have a PayPal account, don't worry. You can still use PayPal to pay by check or major credit card.

IMPORTANT! It sometimes takes several days for a check to clear. If you intend to pay by check, you will need to make your final payment a full week prior to your start date. Failure to do so could result in being bumped to my next available start date. All payments must be received before I begin working on your makeover.

Q. Do I have to give you the password for my blog?

A. Yes. It is preferred that you temporarily change your password by going to your dashboard-->my account.

Q. Will the items in my sidebar be on my new layout?

A. It is highly unlikely that anything will be lost during the design process, however, it is recommended that you backup any photos or blog lists (blog rolls) that you would have difficulty replacing. This is especially important if you are wanting me to delete or move columns in your template.

Q: I would like to order a header with photos and a few framed photos for my sidebar. Will I be able to change the photos later?

A: I can change the photos in elements that I have designed for $2/photo ($5 minimum order).

Q: I’d like to order a set of custom sidebar titles. Will I be able to change the wording once they are installed?

A: Custom sidebar titles are created as separate images and can only be changed using the program on my computer. I can create new/additional custom titles for $1.50 each ($5 minimum order). Standard titles can easily be changed by the blogger once the makeover is finished. Click here for more sidebar title information.

Q: Why the $5 minimum order?

A: I no longer accept payments that amount to less than $5. I base my prices upon how long it takes to complete each order. Including consultation, I seldom am able to complete an order in less than an hour. I am also hit with a fee every time a payment is made. A $5 minimum order ensures that I profit from small orders.

Q: Can I add to an order once you have begun?

A: Of course you can! Anything added to the order after I have started can be paid for before I load the new look to your real blog.

Q. Can I view my design while you work on it or before you install it?

A. Absolutely! Once I begin work on your blog, I will send you the link to a test blog where I will be working on your order. I will ask for your opinion several times throughout the design process. You must approve the final design before I install it on your blog.

Q. Do you give refunds?

A. Deposits are nonrefundable. No refunds will be given once I begin working on your blog. I determine my costs based on the amount of time it takes me to create/install each item, therefore, I do not credit or switch out items for other items after I've designed them. Revisions will not be made for change of preference once my designs are installed on your blog. I do allow a one-time revision where I will fix anything that you bring to my attention that needs to be fixed. You must approve the test blog before I load your new look, so there will not be a need for more than one quick revision. After that, revisions will be billed at the rate of $10/hour.

If you have something specific in mind for your design please describe it in detail when you place your order. If you're not quite sure what you want, take a few days to think it over. Visit your favorite blogs and find headers/layouts that you like. Give me their URLs (web addresses) and I'll let you know if I can match the general look.

I use digital scrapbooking kits and/or istock images for most of my designs. I have to purchase and download them in order to use them on my computer, even if it is a kit or image that you have previously purchased. As per the designers' terms of use, I cannot give you the design items that you purchase through me. They are marketed to be installed on one computer only.

If you decide to switch design images mid-design there will be an additional fee to cover the cost of the new kit and the amount of time I've already spent designing.

On every blog that I design, I include a link back to Blogs by Sneaky Momma, as well as a credit to the designer of the images that I used in your makeover. This information is required to remain on your blog for as long as you are using any of the elements that I designed.

I am not responsible for the personal information that you put on your blog or that you hire me to put on your blog. Safety precautions should always be taken with online information. I will never give out any personal info that you give me.

I include linked examples of most of my designs in my online portfolio. If you would rather me not link to your blog, please let me know. :)

Design Kits

I use digital scrapbooking kits in most of my designs. They cost anywhere between $1-$9. I have permission to use elements by the following designers:

Clicking on the designers' names will take you to their stores, which may also include items by other designers. Make sure the kit that you choose was created by one of the designers listed above.

You may have to search through the products to find what it is that you are looking for. Many designers sell things other than design kits in their stores. A full or mini kit is preferable, but I am willing to use paper packs and individual elements from different designers to create the look that you desire. Keep in mind that an entire kit must be purchased, even if you only want to use one item from it.

I can also incorporate istock images into your design at the rate of $1.65/credit. Istock images can be VERY expensive, so be sure to do the math to see how much your image would cost. Most of the time a small image will need to be ordered to ensure that it is big enough to use in a header. Sometimes, x-small images can be used.

You must purchase your design kits and images through me. They are only marketed for use on one computer only. Please do not ask me to send you the images that I buy for use on your blog, as this would violate the designers' terms of use.

Framed Sidebar Photos

Add a set of framed/matted photos (up to four) to your makeover for $15! You can add additional photos for $4 each. I can switch out your photos at a later date for $2 per photo ($5 minimum order).

A custom signature can be added to your makeover for $5. It can be built into your template so that it automatically appears at the bottom of each post.
